Oso Clean coalesced last January for my husband, Brad, and I after a series of brainstorming sessions, moments of self-reflection, and assorted sources of external pressure. After bouncing from job to job for three years prior and refusing to accept another position for fear that might just turn out to be a “job”, we jumped. Our company was named, we worked for our first clients and the need for our services became apparent. Reflecting on the past year, I have some revelations that I would like to share.
Though we’ve both been involved in property services in one form of the other for the duration of our careers, putting our own names and reputations on the line has taken a lot of courage. On one hand, we possess the skills, abilities, and drive to do what we say that we will do. On the other, we push our comfort zones every day where hitherto it never occurred to either of us that there was even a boundary. We’ve stopped telling people that we are starting our own business, because we are in business. Confidence has come to us, and it grows daily. Use the force, because if it’s right, it comes.
